In 2010, Blaine McAnally and John W. Wilkins, Jr. formed McAnally Wilkins, Inc. with the unique goal of providing proactive, comprehensive insurance solutions, solely tailored for companies associated with the Oil and Gas industry. Headquartered between Midland and Odessa, the heart of the Permian Basin, McAnally Wilkins continues to be singularly focused on managing the various and specific issues that impact the energy sector. From Workers’ Compensation to General Liability and Fleet Auto Solutions, this independent insurance agency is dedicated to offering the most advantageous coverage portfolios at fiercely competitive prices.

John W. Wilkins, Jr.
President/Partner
John W. Wilkins, Jr., President and co-founder of McAnally Wilkins Inc., was reared in Odessa and spent his summers working in the west Texas oilfield. He graduated from Odessa Permian High School in 1984 and from Texas Tech University with a degree in Public Relations/Marketing in 1988.
Since 1991, John has worked as a property and casualty insurance agent specializing in oil and gas. He started with a small independent agency in Midland and then moved to a large national broker as an Energy-niche leader based in Midland. In 2010, John founded McAnally Wilkins, Inc. with Blaine McAnally to establish an independent agency in west Texas dedicated to the oil and gas industry. McAnally Wilkins is now the industry’s premier oil and gas specialty agency with offices and employees in the Permian Basin, Barnett Shale, Eagle Ford Shale, and Anadarko Basin.
John serves on the Board of Directors of the Fasken Foundation, one of the oldest private charitable foundations in the Permian Basin. He is Past President of the Fasken Foundation, MCHS Foundation, Odessa Permian Football Booster Club, the Odessa Day Nursery, and the Odessa Permian Baseball Boosters. He has served or serves on the executive board of numerous local organizations including the Odessa YMCA, the American Cancer Society, Catholic Charities, and the West Texas Baseball Association.
Married to Karen for over thirty years, they have three children, Jack, Sam, and Grace. In his spare time, he likes horse racing and upland bird hunting.
Blaine McAnally

Blaine McAnally, co-founder of McAnally Wilkins Inc., is no stranger to the oil and gas business. Blaine grew up in West Texas and spent his summers working for a fishing and rental company in Kermit, Texas. He graduated from Midland Lee High School in 1989 and from Texas A&M University with a degree in Accounting in 1993.
Since 1994, Blaine has worked in the insurance business. He started with selling life insurance and then moved to a local Midland agency selling property and casualty insurance to oil and gas service companies. Blaine worked for a large national broker focusing on oil and gas accounts. In 2010, Blaine founded McAnally Wilkins, Inc. with John W. Wilkins Jr. to establish an independent agency in Midland dedicated to the oil and gas industry. McAnally Wilkins is now the industry’s premier oil and gas specialty agency with offices and employees in the Permian Basin, Barnett Shale, Eagle Ford Shale, and Anadarko Basin.
Blaine is heavily involved in various oil industry trade associations having served on the executive councils of the Association of Energy Service Contractors and American Pipeline Contractors Association. Blaine is also very active in fundraising for the American Cancer Society in Dallas.
Blaine has been married to Jana for eighteen years and they have two lovely daughters, Avery and Finley. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling to Colorado with his family, weekends at the lake with friends and the occasional round of golf.
